    SuperFlex Subframe bushes ?

    Hi

Im loking for a replacement for my knackered subframebushes.
Do superflex have these for my Audi S2 Coupé-92 ? (rear and front bushes)

What is the part number. Anyone have pictures of the bushes?

    For the front i found:
SPF1797K Front subframe Mounting Bushkit of 8 bushes 4 steel tubes.
Is this the right one ? is it really 8 pieces ?

Really need help with theese cant have my car standing still anymore.

    Cheers Pelle

Yep 8 parts, 2 per bush- push in from each side, basicly a split bush.
Dont now about part numbers though, most people use alloy ones, speak to Aelred!

S2Avant sells the alloy ones at a fraction of the price of the Dialynx ones.

Positives better handling, negatives reduced ride comfort.

Is there any risk of corrosion? Someone told me steel and alloy/aluminum don't mix very well...

The alloy ones I manufacture are anodised to prevent the material migration from the dissimilar metals, although I have only done the ur quattro I would be interested to know how similar the S2's are?

IIRC the front and rear bushes on the subframe are the same diameter, but different heights.

Yep, the front two on the rear subframe are a few mm taller, see here,

Ok so if the alloy mounts are the same and the rears require a couple extra mm then that would not be a problem to sort, especially if space is an issue if you are running a 3" exhaust.

I've bought the superflex subframe bushes for front and rear, but both sets are the same... Is this correct?? Wondering because in this thread it says the rear bushes are higher...

Also, where do the straight bushes from the sets go and where doe the tapered ones go?? Are these front and rear per subframe??

Never mind, pressed the old ones out today and all is clear now
Looking at one subframe, the taller ones are at the rear of the subframe, and the less tall ones at the front of the subframe, the tapered superflex are for replacing the less tall ones and the straight edged superflex are for replacing the taller ones...
I was under the impression that the difference in height was between the front and rear subframes...
