Obviously that would work out expensive. What I have done is get it tracked, get it home, off come the wheels and wrap the things in elecy tape and then spray the ****** with silicone sray to hopefully make it more watertight. I have then put 2 hose clips on each end of the tape to stop it from unraveling while driving.

I thought it was a good idea so I am giving it a try!!!!

problem with that is moisture/condensation will form under the tape and it will still corrode an sieze the only cure isto dissassemble and apply anti seize paste.

as above but cover the adjuster with an old strip of innertube wraped round it held in place with cable ties

Where can I get these from and how do I order them as this is exactly what I need. I'm ditching the QRSport fitted rose-jointed ends as they as no good for every day use. No lubrication spells trouble as far as I can see.

                        Track-rod adjusters are available.

Here you go. A picture of the brand new adjusters. As you can see, they do NOT come with the cones (locking rings) which are also needed. The part number of the adjusters is QR5005S (Equivalent: MTR5005)

                        Another view...

If you need new ones, the cones are available from the main dealer for about £4 each inc. vat. I've ordered a pair as there were two missing on my Avant. This is the part that I refer to...(I'll upload part number next week once I know it).

This means that you can replace both adjusters and all four cones for a little over £20. Not a bad saving when you consider most retailers tell you that you need to replace the entire track-rod assembly at £40 per side. I hope that this helps to save you all some pennies in the future.

Does anyone know if I can use these on my S4? I'm replacing the track control arms soon and was looking at doing the track rods too but they're £60 each!!

I can get the rod ends (16mm thread) for a tenner a piece and it'd be nice if I could buy the adjusters seperately!
