I'm glad I saw this thread. I've got H&R springs and koni dampers on my s2 avant and I think it's pretty awful. It's much nicer handling than the stock set up, but if i hit a medium sized bump at any speed my fronts bottom out and hit the bump stops. It's unpleasant to say the least. I'm looking to change my set up as soon as possible and was thinking about the coilover route.
I've used KW's on a few cars in the past as well as h&r and weitecs and all sorts. But the kw's were excellent so I was thinking of asking for real world reviews on them but they appear highly rated here.
Also I've been put right off polybushes since having my wishbones done, the rear wishbone bushes squeak all journey long unless I lube them up once a month which keeps them quiet but not for long. I'm going to go for a full refresh with OEM kit if I can get I think? I only use the car occasionally but it's meant to be for fun at the weekends. It drives me nuts at the moment.
