I ran Konis with stock springs for a year or so and it was a nice setup, much better body control with the Konis and a reasonably comfortable ride. I'm running with H&R's now and its a lot more crashy over bumps, you really notice the reduced suspension travel if you have to drive over speed ramps every day. If you are unsure try it with stock springs first.
Oh and have a search for shock settings as you have to adjust the rears before you put them in, i found a 1/2 turn was about right with stock springs, 1 turn with H&R's. But everybody will have there own preference.

Do you guys remove some of the bumpstop when fitting the H&R's?
General rule of thumb is if you lower the car by 40mm you reduce the bumpstop by apporximately the same amount to retain the same suspension travel prior to lowering the vehicle.
Its obvious what happens if you do not remove some of the bumpstop.
Over the last couple of days ive been going over my front suspension with a fine tooth comb as i have a mysterious rattle from the nearside.
I have Koni & H&R's and upon removing the front struts the bumpstops are still at their original length - i have removed material to the first rib which equates to approximately 25mm or so - result is more travel and better ride.
