The only problem with adjustable Chris, is they do not come with boots.
They can have my car when they pry my cold dead fingers from the steering wheel.

So........ a few years have passed, and my rear tie rods have some significant play in them, has anyone worked out a good solution for replacement 893501499B or 893501499A arms?

As I understand it the two variants are for rear anti-roll bar equipped vehicles and not, but the outer bit which actually wears is the same, therefore if we can solve that, we can fix it for both.

So... any thoughts other than the E36 one mentioned above? I don't think it has the right curve in it as Alex suggested, so would be doubtful it would be correct in all circumstances.

A bush is quite easily made, so it is just the ball joint on the other end we need a solution for, as far as I can see?

Are there any places out there that will fix a ball joint by, for example, machining and fitting an over-size joint?

              No takers then?

So... taking things further, I've found a good resource to try and find compatible tie rods, does anyone know what the thread is on the inside of the tie rod where to connects to the adjuster?

That would really help narrow things down a bit.

              Thanks

Doh, I see it mentioned above now, M14(!)

That helps, unsure if fine or normal thread pitch, but I guess I can check that here on mine.

For reference they are M14x1.5. Still working on a solution.

Did you find any solution to the rear track rods. Because I am also looking for a set for mines. My coupe quattro came with a rear sway bar. But the bushing and the ball joint are shot.
