So........ a few years have passed, and my rear tie rods have some significant play in them, has anyone worked out a good solution for replacement 893501499B or 893501499A arms?
As I understand it the two variants are for rear anti-roll bar equipped vehicles and not, but the outer bit which actually wears is the same, therefore if we can solve that, we can fix it for both.
So... any thoughts other than the E36 one mentioned above? I don't think it has the right curve in it as Alex suggested, so would be doubtful it would be correct in all circumstances.
A bush is quite easily made, so it is just the ball joint on the other end we need a solution for, as far as I can see?
Are there any places out there that will fix a ball joint by, for example, machining and fitting an over-size joint?

No takers then?
So... taking things further, I've found a good resource to try and find compatible tie rods, does anyone know what the thread is on the inside of the tie rod where to connects to the adjuster?
That would really help narrow things down a bit.
Thanks

More than a year on I can confirm the earlier car's track rods have been working for me. I measured the thread engagement in the adjuster as 30mm from either end which I think it sufficient, though I am still tempted to look out for some track rod extenders (like the drift guys use on the front).
This is a CQ20V so has a rear anti-roll bar as the added complication, and different subframe mounts.
