  • S2 Coupe front ARB Rubber bushes

Bit of a strange request but I am stuck finding a part I need again. Buying spare parts for the S2 in South Africa is almost impossible.

The car is an Audi S2 Coupe 1996 (ABY) and I have decided to rebuild the bottom half of the front and rear suspension, shocks and top mounts done. My local Audi and VW dealers in South Africa said they cannot get the front ARB rubber bushes for me as they are no longer available. In my search for this part I found the same part number on a VW classic parts web site in Germany (link below)

The Audi part number for the front roll bar bush is 811411327B. In the link below the part number for the VW Passat B2 Syncro and Passat B2 variant syncro is showing the same part number 811411327B as available.

Can anybody verify if it’s the same part as used on the Audi S2 1996 ABY. I think it is. Unlikely VW would duplicate a part number.

Also can anybody direct me to any other company that is selling the OEM quality rubber bush. I am not looking for a copy.

If I can only get a copy can anybody recommend a very good make and a supplier. I would like the bush to last about the same length of time as the original part.

As a last resort will use a poly bush if I cannot find what I am looking for..

    Thanks

If I search that number on eBay there are hundreds of them. I’ve had good success with Meyle parts.

I also did a search and found loads of stuff. My problem is I have bought crap before and thats why I was looking to get Audi originals or close to them as possible.

If you are saying MEYLE has been successful for you then thats a good pointer.

Both Classic Quattro and Highland Quattro provide quality parts in my experience.

be wary of the shipping charges from VW Classic Parts. They make Audi Tradition appear reasonable
