  • S2 Coupe rear camber options

    Hello hello

Is there anyway to adjust the rear camber on the coupes?
Mine is kneeling after I fitted the kw v3's (not the lowest setting).

Got a proper four wheel alignment and the car feels great on straights and in corners but it looks a bit off.
Theres no more room for adjustment to keep it less skewed.

Are there any other parts from other cars that can be used? Some top mounts?
I've seen for the front with camber plates, but rear?

    Thanks in advance

    Lars

I assume you've adjusted the bottom ball joints?

Have you tried loosening the strut to hub bolts and giving it a good hard shove in/out to see the change?

I'd you can't get enough pos or neg camber then your next option is a set of camber bolts, which will give you up to 1.5 degrees, I think.

Superpro, powerflex, superflex all do them, they replace the top strut to hub bolt with an eccentric cam bolt, which makes it really easy to adjust.

Seems like i need the camber bolts then.
Yeah werent any more adjustment available :/

      Is the camber bolts reliable?

Lots of people use them, even OEMs.

That sounds good. I'll see if I'll fix it after the "MOT".
Just looks a bit "weird" but the handling feels great

            Lars,

With the alignment done, was the rear camber within spec.? Is the issue the visual camber difference between the front and rear wheels? You had questions about this issue earlier on (post link w/photos below), same issue correct?

            https://www.s2forum.com/forum/techni...snt-feel-right

If your issue is too much camber, is it possible that each of the rear V3 strut's four through-bolt holes (for hub carrier attachment) are sized to allow 14mm through-bolts, but your bolts are M12's (there was a bolts and holes diameter change at this location at a VIN split in there somewhere, see item #4 in screen-shot below)? Are you certain you've tipped the hubs out at the top to the maximum extent as Bowie suggested; with those bolts loose enough?

            Seen this thread?

4wheelnew.png That was a good question Lago Blue.

Yes that is correct regarding the bolts. Probably not tipped enough, not sure.

Ill add a picture from the four wheel alignment done.

So, probably got a 2 degree adjustment there..
Yeah thats what happens when you don't know how to work on cars..

Maybe I need a new alignment in the rear section. Not sure what others experiences are?

Its quite visual yes, no problem driving it but its a bit off yes.
So when I push the top furthest out, I still do it with the inserts from 14>12 bolts right?
Thought it was furthest out but I might have missed that one..

Got a checkup on my car in 14 days, maybe Ill try adjust it and get a new 4 wheel alignment done over here if I get an appointment.
