Well as I said KW are okay and do work well, but compared to the set of custom coupe coil-overs I have that another member is interested in their not well made, as proven by the issues with yours.

Personally I like stock suspension as it works properly on all road surfaces and company's like Audi probably spend hundreds of thousands of Euros on testing and getting them right.

I'd go with that BC kit if you want adjustable suspension.

I've always found Eibach springs to be very good, better than H&R, but can you get them for an S2 Avant though.

No problem, that BC kit looks very good, hope it works out better for you than the KW's.

BTW, I don't mean to slag KW's off, they're pretty bloody good, but just like everything these day they're built to cost so could always be better.

BC coilovers seems nice, would have tired them myself but without the tüv papers its unusable for us in scandalnavia

Hope my KW v3 works better

            Hi.
I'm talking with BC and their spring rates seems quite lows
on rear 12 kilos, pretty good but in front only 4 kilos!

Right, that does seem a little out of whack, however to start with what units are you talking in? I'm guessing it's kg per mm?

There are some really good online spring rate calculators, most are in freedom unit's (imperial) as their US site's but it's not hard to convert kg's to lb's, 1kg = 2.2lb. You also need to be able to convert from mm/cm to inches and feet, that's not quite so easy, I'm used to doing it as I'm happy working in either set of unit's.

However, for a quick conversion you can use 1" = 25.5mm, it actually 25.54mm but unless your working dimensions for an F1 car 25.5mm is close enough

You'll also need other data regarding angles, leverage point dimensions and corner weights (both sprung and un-sprung) but all this info is readily available on the good old internet.

I don't have time at the moment to work it all out, but I could sit and do it late this evening, though it's not exactly a fun project.

My friend is looking to get BC or KW's. It seems BC is a better choice. We'll work on his S2 after we installed the rack and tonneau covers on his pick-up truck this weekend.

I'm sure they're pretty well researched so can't be far out, but I really need confirmation that your talking in kg's per mm to make head or tail of that info.

The numbers for KW V3 on the quattro sedan are 60 or 70 N/mm (linear).
For the rear they are 54 N/mm (progressive).
Those would equate to 6.1 and 7.1kg/mm front and 5.5 kg/mm for the rear.
