@rusty: you have the 034 in the back of your's? track or street density? feeling any difference in the handling of the car?

i have a complete set for front and back in track density + delrin bushes for my wishbones that i'm going to mount, but i't would be nice with some feedback on how these top mounts are holding up before i mount them just in case i change my mind

TBH, I've never noticed them, so they can't be that good or that bad - I'd almost forgotten about them TBH

They're rubber mounts and are not rigidly mounted, so they're pretty much going to feel stock and give a small upgradein stiffness that I'd be suprised if you noticed.

I've tried a few front options but just have some used stock greens on there and it's not exactly terrible... one day I'll get my solid design made but small batch size = £££

Photos of the 'the problem' small roller bearing that falls apart after moderate driving.
The others show an all alloy top mount with a high performance spherical bearing.

@pembo: this top mount, wouldn't this be pretty harch to drive with on a regular basis?

I've got 034 street density on my car front and rear and they're doing fine and much better than the OEM ones.

That said there's been much debate in other threads on here on the merits of 034 topmounts, so of it quite heated and some of it unfairly atributed to the top mounts but nevertheless they haven't done well for some folks.

Given the poor design by Audi in the first place there's no easy, cheap, not harsh solution available and you have to choose where you want to compromise.

i don't mind the car to be stiff but of course since it's a car that's gonna be used on a regular basis it can't be TO stiff.
i'm looking forward to get the new parts on the car and see how it handles

I had the Comp brake topmounts fitted all around when I had my coilovers fitted which were supposed to improve handling. I think they had some quality issues, but more importantly, the ride was so hard it actually dialled in more understeer. This was cured by reverting to OEM Green's on the front. Apart from the understeer,I could not live with the harshness of the ride which was cured too.
I'm looking at Promount solution all around, but am having difficulty deciding whether to upgrade to beefier suspension option for the typ85 as talked about some time ago when Promount had an agent in the UK.

There seems to be a difference between the street density and track ones
My track ones are awful and will be binned ASAP and replaced with meyle hd
Pro mounts are the best option but sourcing them for the uk is an issue
