I got front ARB and reduced roll no end. My tyres are crappo anyway, so anything was bound to improve 'em, but it really is worth doing. Need back done now. And better tyres.
    'The Bacofoil Express'...

    No more.

Leon TDI 150 run in now.

    Very slow.

    Needs a chip.

RS2 ARB on front will reduce roll alot but you tend to notice more understeer which is the drawback until u fit the whiteline

As I mentioned on another thread The people who make a short quattro copy (can't remember their nam! ) they run track days with no front ARB and the 20V front on the rear. This makes the back end break away more easily for lairey slides at corners.

Any way I have the info and will call the ARB manufacturer on Monday.

I also have the name of the disk manufacturer for vented S2 rear disks!

Paul, you've been a naughty boy stand in the corner of the class. Funny I was always the first one to be chosen for the basket ball team and one of the last for the football team ( until they found I was good in goals!, I block most of it!)

I went to visit whilst in Wiltshire, they make the ARB's for Morris Minors from carbon steel and not spring steel. I will investigate further but feel that it needs to be spring steel. Does anyone have any suggestions as to the correct grade of steel and thickness etc.?

I'd be interested -I may as well upgrade the ARBS, and it seems like a job for the tinkering home mechanic to take on, so why not. Whiteline rear, RS2 front, sounds great.

I fancy the same. I may get excommunicated from the forum, but handling and brakes matter more to me than pure power.

We need some technical person to tell us what the thing should be made of. Maybe there is a good looking Italian who could tell us or even Pisobiker!

If the RS2 rear ARB fits the coupe then the whiteline or similar should fit yours.

Then again thinking about it why don't coupe owners fit the RS2 rear ARB.

                        I don't know I'm afraid

Its only the front RS2 arb which will fit the coupe.
the rear suspension on the avants is completely different to the (superior..lol) coupe, must be to do with the slippers!!
hence the only upgrade for the coupe rear seems to be the whiteline one.
im wanting to order one asap, maybe try contacting whiteline direct rather than waiting 6 months with deamon tweeks

Does this only fit the avant then? That's a dissapointment

John, your post was 04:46, it was either a good night and you've just come in or you are off to GTI International!

There is a trick which a lot of budget racing cars had which was to add a supplementary ARB on custom brackets. This would increase the torsional rigidity ( long phrase for a sunday morning!).

I am going to lie under the Audi this morning and look at the arb and it's mountings. ( should be sorting the hubs and new brakes!)

                                I will update you soon.
