I'd never buy Bilstein again, they are unforgiving and too hard but they are the shock of choice for the ultimate in road handling on the S2 / RS2
I know this is all subjective but.... I went out in the RS2 this morning with my brother for a back to back road test with his new R32. We both drove both cars The bilsteins are (in my view) no harder than the R32's dampers and offer similar road comfort. I wouldn't describe either cars suspension as unforgiving.

I have however run bilstein on a Peugoet 205 in the past and that WAS way too hard for the road and good for the track only. Not all bilstein applicaions seem to perform the same!
