    H&R S2 Coupe Springs, numbers.

I've done some searching in the forums and the part numbers seems to be:

    29939HA & 29939VA

However when I look at this page (supplied by JonasR somewhere ):

there is a mention of 2 kits:
    29939-1
    29939-2

Does it matter which one of them I order?
Both kits seems to hold the same springs?

Final question, if I order lets say 29939-2 will I get the VA/HA springs or did H&R change that kit over time?

Those numbers are in reference to the cup kits IIRC you want to order by the spring numbers or you will get VA springs all round

Yes, I know they are supposed to go on the Cup Kits but it's the same springs right?
Some seller claimed that the springs from the Cup Kit would not fit if I didn't order the whole Cup Kit, but surely it fits on OEM struts?

So even if I said, "Please take my money and order the springs from Cup Kit 29939-2." to a seller I would still get 4 VA springs?

      This is very confusing.

I ordered H&R spring recently from a company in the UK who ordered them direct (special order
) from H&R Germany, I recieved 2 HA springs and 2 VA springs.

the two cup kits contain the same spring kits. its just the difference in front shock between the ABY and the 3B that is different.

That's incorrect the ABY and 3B front shock is the same, it's the CQ shock that is different. S2 should be M55

If cup 2 says HA & VA then it should be o.k but I would put it down that's what you want'.

The cup springs were no different, I bought a cup kit of ebay and T2Andy has the springs from that kit on his car to this day

            Oh, ok.

I will order a from an German company that I order almost everything from because of his killer prices.

            Hello...

            H&R Federnset:
            29939-1 or 29939-2
            Price now.......179 Euro

            Price for 4 Federn!
Should I be concerned or will I get the right VA/HA combo?
            hmm let me rephrase:
Has H&R modified the Cup Kits to hold 4 VA now?

I want to get the correct springs and don't want to be too much of an hassle for him down there.

            [EDIT]

Just saw your post Jamo, I should be good to go.
            Will order some springs now!

The reason I say put it down at the start it is what you want is because H&R say the VA's all round handle better and supply kits like that.

If the 29939-2 kit is listed as HA/VA just confirm to the people your buying from this is what your expecting and will not accept VA's all round

Yes, I mentioned this to him now when I ordered.
Told him to check with H&R or wherever he gets em' that it is the VA/HA kit.

Hope it all works out well.

                [EDIT]
                Great help guys!

The difference between 29939-1 and 29939-2 is only in regards to the dampers. They use the same springs in the kit, and the same rear damper it is only wether the front damper is M55 or M52.

In my kit I got springs named 29939-VA and 29939-HA

The springs finally arrived today, he accidentally ordered the whole Cup Kit so it took some time, but I was in no hurry.

                    I hope it's the right ones, here's a pic:
