Now that i think about it it's probably because my whitline bar came with poly bushes which probably wouldn't fit in the standard mounts. Suprised the Avant bar doesn't come with any of these things.
Mine is adjustable but not sure how that would affect the mounts?Comment

The subframe doesn't flex, it cracks which is why Neuspeed used the bracketsMy understanding is that the Avant RARB stock brackets are suitable for much stiffer ARB's but the subframe flexes a bit which is not "really" desirable though not a real problem. Neuspeed supplies brackets to prevent the flexing of the subframe.
The coupe Whiteline RARB supplies brackets as it's an adjustable set-up with 3 different RARB positions of stiffness.
Originally posted by s2avantIt's clear why this is needed when you look at the standard ARB mounting points. They are literally flat plates that protrude from the bottom of the subframe. After much investigation on the web it seems common that on A4Q/S4s these can crack or even snap off when bigger rear ARB's are used.Comment

Thanx for the link Jason. Interesting read and great pics. But I'm fairly sure that if Audi intended the brackets to work with an RS2 RARB which is fairly quite identical to a Whiteline RARB, there shouldn't be any cracking/snapping like in the S4/A4q's.
Maybe the S4/A4q's brackets are made of aluminum or some other alloy instead of iron ?
