has all audi 80 same steering rack

as topic, is all 80´s having same steering rack? i might buy one and attempt to do an steering rack with shorter left-> right

no, they are different, the coupe is about 3.2 at least my cq20v is and i know the ABY is 2.6. this is why i put it in mine there may well be others i'm not sure

edit: i will probably buy and audi 80 housing, compare and then remake it to shorter steering

i put a rack(including track rod ends etc) from my b3 coupe into a b4 saloon if that helps. fit perfectly

the two racks i changed, thats 20v cq and aby s2 avant looked the same to me, didnt study them too closely tho....i'd be surprised if the 3b rack was interchangable tho since thats the servotronic rack......

The pinion part of the Servotronic rack is definitely different.

Anton is spot on with the specs, they look identical so i would be surprised if you couldn't swap the internals over.
