    Need some helpage.

    Hi guys,

Ive run into some issues trying to refit the rear wishbones on my coupe.

Ive had the subframe and one of the suspension struts off, which has been converted to coilovers.

Im having trouble getting the wishbones to line up so I can bolt them in.

Ive tried it two ways now, wont go either way.

First was wish the wishbones bolted into the subframe, ball joints as far out of the wishbones as possible, but it just wont go into the hub carrier, the angle is ridiculous.

Second way was with the ball joint in the hubcarrier and the pinch bolt holding it in. The holes in the wishbones are about an inch too far outboard of the holes in the subframe, I cant push inboard because Im fighting against the drivehaft.

    Anybody BTDT, got any tips?
Somebody in the southeast area willing to help out?
    Much appreciated.

    Kieron.

Have you popped one of the CV joints out of it's socket? Check that it's balls deep in the socket

From reading above is the misalignment along the axis of the driveshaft or perpendicular to it?

You'll need the car off the ground so that the whole assembly is free to move around.

You may also be required to undo the rear tie rod to allow for more movement of the suspension leg

I figured it out after trying the other side.

Sort of along the lines of what rusty said, the inner cv joint had popped out somewhere and would no longer slide in and out.
Jacked the wheel up and turned the brake disc a few time and it popped back in, sweet.

Sorry for all the commotion, i'm in a bit of a rush as I need to move the car asap as apparantly its blocking access.(BS)

Oh and the car is off the ground by the way.... the whole rear suspension has been off practically.

        Cheers for the suggestions.

Misaligned balls = no balls deep action
