    Rs2 Steering Rack Questions

Eventually got the RS2 Rack fitted in the car, what a Ba-----d!!! do you know what the pipe coming down from the brake fluid resevoir is supposed to do?? it joins into the return pipe to the power steering resevoir.

The RS2 rack has a restrictor valve in one of the union banjo bolts, when i got the rack the union with the restrictor in was on the hose to the power stg pump, does that sound right??

    Thanks in advance David.

Thats the fluid line to the clutch cylinder, its goes through the bulkhead to the clutch master cylinder, its not connected to the PS system. Do you mean the hydraulic line to the brake servo?

As per your other thread about this, according to the FA its a one-way valve not a restrictor in the banjo bolt, and there should be two of them - both Banjos for the send and return tp the rack.

      Return Message for Error404

The one on my S2 is linked under the offside of the Steering Rack, there is a rubber pipe coming down from behind the brake fluid reservoir somewhere and joins into the return pipe for the power steering by means of a 11mm metal pipe attached to this hose.
Can you tell me what this hose is supposed to do??

The Rack i got has just one banjo fitted with this valve which is now fitted in the pump hose to the front of the rack but the return pipe banjo didnt have a valve in it??
      Will this make any difference.

      Thanks in adavance
      Regards David.

That pipe goes to the brake servo.
