  • Avant rear poly bushings..

I think i know the problem but cant find any mention on the forum.

I bought a powerflex bushing kit for the avant and the rear upper a-arm bushings dont seem to fit. I've discovered there are two versions of the a-arms, either a solid cast piece or a pressed steel one welded together. Audi book lists two different bushings so i assume the bushings i have are for the pressed steel versions.

Question is has anybody tried to modify the bushings to fit, or know where i can buy poly bushings for these arms?

I think it might be possible to cut the bushing and sleeve down to size, have to measure up the bolt through the middle to confirm though. Any BTDT's?

    Cheers, Mark.

    .

Sorry cant remember who had this exact problem...ended up machining the bushes to fit. Not too difficult.

I have a spare set of cast arms?

Are you in contact with Powerflex...could get the rest of the bushes sorted?

also, i and 1 more on this bushing had a problem thta the bushing was too big in diameter ( the front control arm front bush)

needed to mill down the diamter on it...

                  Would it be Shock bushes?

I think the front wishbone bushes are both the same?

Would it be worth asking them about subframe bushes?
