the neuspeed bracket is really overkill IMO

this version of the bracket is good enough, and easier to make:

I tried the email thing my end this morning and this is the reply:

          Dear Mr Watkins,

we are sorry but the Clubsport rear stabilizer is not longer available.

          Best Regards

It seems that Audi are getting a lot better at communication these days. I asked the same question 18months ago and was told I would have to order it and wait and see what they charged for it! As a side note I have had some very good response on ordering NLA parts from classicparts.de.

Yeah they will, because they dont actually fix to the bar itself, so the size is irrelevant.

                Update on rear arbs.

Sorry guys looks like I've given you false hopes, sorry.

Just back from the dealer. and much the same info as above from S2Central.
Saw one of their old(er) guys, been around Vag stuff for several decades and has always been correct in the past ( and not the person I spoke to on the phone a couple of weeks ago).

17mms is GmbH only part, hence no part number.
He has ordered from GmbH in the past but it usually takes some weeks to get stuff out of them.
They always ask for chassis number he says.
He has no idea about prices ( ties up with post above) but based on his experience typically multiply the usual price by about 4
Looks like the price I was given a couple of weeks ago is for the standard 15mms bar ( give or take a couple of ££ it seems to tie up.

There was a noticable difference when I put the S4 bar on my B6 quattro ( 15 up to 17 mms iirc ) so I was up for it as an easy/cheap improvement -- even though it is 'her' car !!
So, an increase from 12 to 15 on B4s should also be quite noticable .....and percentage wise it is a greater increase....

Again sorry if I raised hopes of a 'cheap' upgrade

That OK Chris, at least we now know that 15mm upgrade is a cheap option for those looking for a near RS2 bar.

Thats grand Chris - always worth a try... I agree with you that 50 quid going from 12mm to 15mm is worth it !

Well, Sportec offered 22mm rear swaybar for RS4.

                              For a trackday - fine...
For spirited driving into the office and/or dropping the kids off - its a bit over the top - for me anyway.
