    .

    Remember dropping the back end too far will induce more understeer.

      nice RS by the way!!....
      Thanks

      Yeah, to get it level (as my car was before the Billys went in) you could go 25mm rather than 20mm. Ill live with mine at 20mm.

        As an update to this thread which I found quite useful, except for some ambiguity with the final measurements, here are some photos of my car after I installed Bilsteins.

        Setup is as follows:

        Front inserts are PE3-3086. The outside diameter on this insert is 50mm vs the 55mm ID on the housing, however it comes with a 55mm housing nut so everything works well.

        Rear shocks are BE3-6212. I had a groove added at 24mm from the stock location, centre to centre.

        The car is on stock springs. I am very happy with the way it sits and drives, the shocks are firmer than the old Boges but they match up very well to the stock spring rates.

        Anyone looking for these shocks in Canada can talk to Gord at RPI Equipped in Vancouver, he is up to speed on what is required. Long lead time, but worth it!

          Looking at all those photos I'm happy that I went to the coilover route that I did. Using Bilstein shocks and bambridge inserts.

          Hopefully the front springs will be sorted.

            Does anyone know diameter of the strut? I want to find sleeves for DIY coilovers.

                        I would also recommend Essex, they are official Bilstein distributor in Canada and I got the proper 55mm fronts for my S2.. like yours took a while to get but well worth it.
                        Ask for Gord.

                        Front = 34-030868
                        Rear = 24-062145
