Just to add a bit more into the mix I have several different grooves machined in my rear struts. Before I had the bump and rebound modified on my front struts it sat level with a grove around 20mm lower than the original. Now the front struts have been 'tweaked' the back is lower than the front so needs to move up a groove. I will wait until the rears have been 'tweaked' first though and see how it sits then.

having just read this post... can i confirm before i get these machined that it is 20mm towards the lower mount...and this is for standard ride height springs....
I have searched and it only came back with a few results....
Can anyone tell me how deep the groove should be?...or the diameter the circlip now rests in?..

Ill take a pic of my car and post it up today. I think it could come down another 5mm to be level with the front.
