    Rear Camber adjustment.

I'm having trouble with too much negative camber now I have had my coil overs fitted. The car isn't ridiculously low at the moment as it wasn't for this reason that I fitted this suspension.

It went in for alignment on Friday and new track rods were ordered but now the garage are saying that the negative camber is far too great, although he only seems to be adjusting on the bottom of the wishbone. Surely the bolts through the hub and strut are eccentric to allow some for of adjustment here too. The garage that fitted the coil overs used the old bolts that were through the original struts. Are the original bolts eccentric on a coupe quattro?

Any help is much welcomed, I'm driving to Le Mans tomorrow night!

Yeah, that looks like the sort of thing I'd be needing. Although I'm not sure if it would give me the right amount of adjustment. I reckon that maybe just some shorter tie rods would be a step in the right direction. I reckon if the back is raised a little bit it might help, it really is too low at the back at the moment.

I'll be hassling Albert for some of his wishbones before the summer is out I think.

is the spring perch fixed or can you not wind it in to gain some rear height?

No, it's adjustable, I think it's going to be raised tomorrow to try and help things out a little. I've already explained to him about ride height, that's not why I've bought the coilovers!

yep, adding some height will make it come into range i'm certain - hopefully enough to get the balljoint to take out some of the -camber

I think that that will be the plan of attack. It'll have to do until I get some stuff that allows me to adjust everything until it is perfect.

                        might just be kit/car specific in that case...might be worth a check with KW - +44 870 990 7536

They are based in kent so worst case you could get thm to courier them to the port and leave at the ticket desk or something?

They're not eccentric but there is some clearance in the holes. The bolts are stretch bolts and both the bolts and nuts need to be replaced. Torque is 110ftlbs + 90deg for teh M14 items. Learnt the hard way about this on the front!

I'll give them a shout in the morning to check what they are saying. Plenty of time anyway, only 21 hours till I set off
