    good suspension

Hi guys went for drive yesterday with some srs lads with their rs4s and s4s first time iv pushed the car since iv had it trying to stay with them was a laugh scared myself a few times, all the driving was done on mountain roads twisty and loads of little hills and very little traffic didn,t feel confident with the brakes or the handling but great fun can anyone reccomend what type and make of suspension to get and any thing else to tighten up the car i know i need the porsche brakes for the front but what would be the best for the rears?

loads of options, depends what you want. This has been covered a lot so the search is your friend.

    Quick summary:
First step make sure all the bushes are in good nick - there are OE, HD or poly plus ally options.
Damper inserts you can stick with OE Boge gas, or Koni / Bilstein inserts work well. There are various off the shelf coilover options and also pretty easy DIY to make your own coilovers.
ARBs: RS2 front bar is good but pricey. Various rear bar options, from moderate to super stiff, these will help tame understeer but car can become a bit lairy (read fun)
Adding a rear strut brace and lower chassis brace and the more you can do to stiffen up the chassis increases grip and reduces understeer in a BIG way.
Get a TORsen rear diff to reduce on power understeer

From memory, £250 is the going rate, but they are like rocking horse s**t.

yup, £250-£300 is the price, they are rare though as Andy says, and they don't like to be treated roughly! i.e. don't launch the car, they will break! As long as you are sensible they are a great upgrade. Keep your eyes peeled and finger ready, they do pop up every so often in the for sale section. Be sure to get the output flanges as well as the diff as you need those to make it work in the B3/B4 diff casing.

I would follow error's pointers regarding handling.

Get a good alignment once you have replaced what you want.

There is a rear brake upgrade thread.

You can get all the bits or get a complete kit from peete reeve (needs discs turned down and a couple of washers, other than that its bolt on)
