haha, yes I think i might also string the punch bag up next to the car to avoid boot shaped dents in the panels

Looking forward to getting it fitted, hopefully I'll get started on Monday. Going to give it go with the engine in situ, I guess we'll see how easy that isn't!
The way I look at it, lots of people splash the cash on big blowers, massive brakes and trick suspension, but really i think the steering is the weakest part of the car.Leave a comment:

Your not messing about are you
Eagerly awaiting your verdict when you get it fitted, if it does all you hope for i have a brand new rack here that would be perfect for this modification

It owes me a LOT but if it works I will sort out a group buy, which will be loads cheaper as most of the cost has been the R&D and set-up. It is a normal 2.6 turns from an ABY/RS2. A qucker rack is possible

Very nice work, I'd be very curious to know how much (ish) that cost, PM if you want.
I was wanting to get my ABY rack reconditioned professionally before I brave the installation onto my 3B, will probably combine the job with a clutch swap. However depending on price and how you get on with yours I'd be tempted to send mine off for the same treatment.
By the way my daily driver Coupe is now dead proper and sat waiting to be scrapped soon, if you want to come and cut any panels out your welcome to do so.Leave a comment:

Nice one, Alex. That's commitment to the pursuit of obtaining better steering.
It will be interesting to know what you think of the results when you test it on the car.Leave a comment:

Was this from one of the racks I set you up mate? be interested to hear how you get on, whilst the engines out swapping it you might as well put that old 3b lump in.Leave a comment:
