Hi guys having read the fireworks on the for sale section ref lowering springs, and having seen the both sets of pics of the red and the blue springs also having purchased a set from the same guy i have a question as to whether mine are the same as the red or blue ones in the pics mine are two different sizes the fronts are 30cm in lenth and the rears are 27.5cm are these normal springs or not? any advice plse on this.
koni stop making s2 springs about 8-9 years ago Audiman had the last set. I had a set of them and they have no part number on them. currently they are on slow2 car
I also understood that the Koni spring went NA years back. So that does beg the question as to what you have. From what I read, the seller bought 2 sets, used one, but has sold 2!
I don,t mind what they are for now as long as they are lowering springs as the advert said they were, just need to know what the height of standard s2 springs are.
Well either fit them or compare measurements with those others from the same source. If the measurements are the same in terms of height, wire diameter and number of coils, the answer looks to be no!
Lowering springs will have less coils than stock springs but will be the same length if not longer to ensure they take up the slack when the car is jacked up.
Being red my first guess is that they are H&R's but could be wrong.
Confirmation that the Koni springs were at least originally, green in colour with the part number 2220-1226. They were all apparently the same springs front and rear!
