Is this definitely a RS2 FARB?

    On ebay: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...m=130658692617

Have found out that the part number of an RS2 FARB is "8A0 411 309"

Only the begining of the part number is shown in the pic: "8A0 4"

Could it be anything else or is it definitely an RS2 item?

Despite what the ad says, adding a larger/thicker front anti-roll bar, without adding a corresponding larger/stiffer rear anti-roll bar, will only produce MORE understeer. This is the last thing a 20VT B3/B4/C4 Audi needs.

Case in point, the C4 UrS front suspension started off in the 1992 model year (MY) with the "1BE" sport suspension, i.e. the lowest stiffest OE C4 UrS springs and both front and rear anti-roll bars. The front anti-roll bar diameter was 26 mm. Apparently somebody at Audi deemed this to be too sporty (and perhaps TOO close to neutral handling) because by the 1993 MY the suspension switched to softer taller springs, no rear anti-roll bar and a thicker front anti-roll bar (28 mm), designated "1BA". No rear bar and a thicker front bar BOTH add to dialing in the safer understeer, moving the handling away from neutral (and perhaps oversteer of the 1BE suspension).

Footnote: Some early build (July/August) 1993 MY UrS4s got the 1BE sport suspension from the factory. Lucky them.

I've already got a whiteline RARB so will put it onto the stiffest setting when fitting the RS2 FARB on the front. I've read on here that that's a good balance.

Don't bother, the Whiteline isn't manly enough for an RS2 front bar. Leave it as is and spend your money elsewhere

Really?! Is there a RARB that's strong enough for a coupe with RS2 FARB?

Yeah, the S2 front bar is about right I've run a 25mm bar on the back of mine with an OE 26 mm bar on the front since 2007 and it's great.

I agree with Rusty. I had a whiteline rear on my coupe (stiffest setting) then fitted the RS2 front but preffered it with the stock front bar. I was tempted to drill another hole in the whiteline for a stiffer setting.

I've got an RS2 front bar and a Whiteline on the rear and love the way it holds the car flat round corners, it does understeer on the limit but I'm used to it having driven quattros since the mid 80s.

                      I agree John,
I like the RS2 bar upfront, with the Whitline on the rear... I really hated the Whiteline on the rear only...
It does understeer when pushed, but way less than standard, pressing on it keeps quite flat and sharp...
