  • Solid subframe bush failure.

Just had my S2 Mot'd and we found this little nasty lurking underneath!

Hopefully this is a one-off. All the other bushes were fine.

looks like they haven't been anodised.
they'll corrode away easily without protection.

even anodised they will corrode over time as stones chip the coating...Mine are well greased etc but they are worth keeping an eye on over time, rears especially from experience. Bambridges' which i fitted last year to replace my powdering Dialynx ones look well up to the job The original Dialynx set lasted 6or so years before replacement

Won't powdercoating be a good protection? You can get them sandblasted and then powdercoated so the paint will have even more adhesion.

Make them from unobtanium, it's light, strong and very inert.

Only down side is it's difficult to source.

Just make them from stainless, job done and never has to be done again or worried about.

If someone gives me a drawing with proper sizes I will make some when I get chance, there is thousands of bar ends I could make these from in work, material is thus free so cost will be low.

What's wrong with the poly Supaflex ones? Mine feel great.
