Nylon is a very bad choice for bushes, it is hygroscopic, it will absorb water and expand when it gets wet and as it is pressed in to a metal surround that will not give it will thus indent the bush crushing it beyond it's elastic limit, then when it dries out in summer on a hot day it will shrink and end up loose and rattle about.

I was going to make a set, until I asked my old man.

Other thing I was wondering, the subframes are steel, could you fit steel ones, weld them in, then prime/paint etc?

Would allow the holes to be offset to get some castor.

Quite a lot of cars don't have rubber bushes, so that will work very well!

Anyone have any drawings/is willing to share the dimensions of the bushings? I want to make some delrin bushings for me, I already made the inner control arm ones myself, but don't want to disassemble the subframe yet to take the dimensions.

Does anyone want a set made of titanium? I don't think it will rust. It is light and strong.
We have "offcuts" at work which are just the right size for these.
Not big enough for caliper brackets though.

Does this mean that Super Pro and Powerflex and the like are not made out of Nylon, but something else which is more suitable ?

                      Thanks.

I think that AndyP has a set of bushes so I'll measure them up unless there is a drawing available?
Alternatively I could send the "scrap" to Bambridge if he wants to use some inserts machining titanium.
