Wow very nice! Congratulations on these coming to fruition they look awesome

I might be interested in a rear set, possible a front set if you figure a bar bracket in the front with more castor.

    continuing to watch this

I have a few ideas for design evolution and want to design a cap for the rear and maybe front ones too. There is the option of a simple rubber blanking grommet for a fraction of the price but that wouldn't look too pimp I'm also hoping to design a front top plate that interacts with the strut brace mounts as an anti-rotation feature

Hardware arrived today, so these are now ready to be fitted! Here's the pictures of what goes in to them and various stages of undress

    Front mount assembled:-

    Rear mount assembled:-

Underside showing bearing retaining screws (the bearings are heat fitted in place, so these do absolutely nothing tbh):-

Nitrile O ring to increase friction when fitting:-

    Front mount nearly naked:-

    Rear mount nearly naked:-

The strut brace bracket shown is for rear use only, a different bracket can be easily designed for front use.

I'd be interested in a set of these! My only concern is the angle of the strut brace bracket when running any amount of castor. From what I can tell, the brackets would point inward towards each other when dialing the mounts strictly for increased camber.

These are a specialist product designed for performance. There are a few more comfortable options already out there, some of which I've tried, some I haven't.

If there is a demand for £500 a set top mounts then I'll look in to it but based on the cost of these prototypes, I'd need someone to stump up the investment!

I'm happy to discuss other options but another thread relating to concentric items seems more appropriate.
Thanks for reply, content noted, back on topic.

Will do a separate thread as correctly suggested.

I was thinking more from a perspective of trying to prevent the top mount from work hardening the turret steel, by locating it radially as well as axially against the turret top - I just saw the recess and guess that was what it was for

    Hi Rusty,

Excuse my ignorance, but wouldn't some sort of "rubber ring" at the top allow a little bit of oem type complaince, without majorly detracting from the more obvious advantages of changing the castor / camber angles, and the more durable bearings ?

If so it would open them up to practically everyone with a B4 the world over ?

Not everyone wants to run metal subframe bushes / polybushes / track engine & gearbox mounts / solid top mounts.

    Just my uneducated tuppence worth.

Best wishes and keep up the good work, as oem style / design top mounts on B4 are a real weak link. Should never have been allowed out of the factory door by Audi. C4 ones are much better / durable.

Looking forward to the installed photos. Thanks.

Not a load bearing one, just one for friction when fitting. Top mounts of this design don't lend themselves to having flexible parts, as it would allow unwanted movement. Concentric ones would be a different story.

Very nice mate. Do you plan to add a poly / rubber ring in the recess at the top?

Should be able to fashion something I'm sure but I would have to do a variant of the bracket anyway, as it's angled for additional camber rather than any castor.
