just changed from oe 3 purple paint springs on my ur s4 v8 to eibach sportline,
not much of a drop but just enough,
pics of the springs
left to right original 3 paint purple
eibach replacement
kilein 200q front lowering spring

Thanks. Any chance you can tell us (me) the numbers on the springs themselves?
The reason I ask is my 94 S4 V8 avant came with some German aftermarket suspension installed and it is too low. I have a new Eibach kit for a V6 automatic avant (long story) and I am wondering/hoping that the springs in the box are similar to or the same as the kit you just installed.
The problem with the kit numbers is the Eibach NAmerican kit numbers were different than the Eibach European kit numbers (for reasons I never understood), eventhough the springs in the kits might be the same.

number on the rear , 1521002ha, , fronts are even harder to see , but looks the same.
Chris: While I hope that you can confirm the front spring PN , I think they will (or should) be 1527001VA - which, according to the link below, should be for 5 and 6 cylinder, S4 with automatik and A/C and the S6 4.2L (DING!!)
The corresponding avant REAR springs are 1521002HA, as you have indicated.
...Now to confirm what is in the Eibach Pro-Kit box in the garage.
Bugga
The fronts are correct as EW1527001VA *HOWEVER* the rears in the box are EW1517002HA (not 1521002HA).
Apparently the 1517002HA's are for the front wheel drive A6 auto air avants. The spring diameter is 13.0 mm instead of 13.5 mm for the 1521002HA and the unloaded height is 335 mm instead of 320 for the 1521002HA. Not sure how it would sit. Smaller diameter wire but taller winding to start with.

Instead of opening a new thread for a question i will post it here. Hopefully someone will help.
There are 2 different codes on Eibach pro-kit springs for urs4. Rear side: 1516002HA and 1521002HA. My car is Avant and is clearly specified 1521002HA Avant only. Usually Eibach prokit tend to sit a little higher on the rear. Do you think is a good idea to use limo code 1516002HA for Avant?
This are the number differences according to Eibach:
Execution designation 1516002HA 1521002HA
Identification progressive progressive
Outer diameter 123 mm 123 mm
Wire diameter 13.0 mm 13.5 mm
unstressed spring length > 310 mm> 320 mm
Total number of turns 10.0 10.0
I know it's propably not popular solution among you guys but it worked for me just fine
cut one wind from the top on the rears ... top 5 windings are pressed onto each other while car sits on the wheels so they act more like spacers than the spring ... upper part doesn't have special finish like lower end
on the other hand, top mounts on S type are different than the standard Q and add some hight to the overall assembly
this is obviously not recognised by Eibach !?
third ... original springs have 7 - 9 windings depending on the suspension/car type so your 9 out of 10 will be just fine
I'm running 4 cyl. front version EW1515101VA now and it's same like my old 5 & 6 cyl. version EW1515001VA
replaced them with brand new just because old ones were all rusted
