I have a feeling that these poly bushes might be what i am looking for.Slightly better handling in the handling stakes but compliant enough to still provide OEM levels of refinement. I am with you on your feelings towards alloy bushes....best left to track cars. Here's a quote from Fat Audi (Steve) when he replied to me about bushes.
"I was like you. I am so glad I went poly everywhere. The car retains all its compliance, nvh are unaffected and the car handles sooo much better. Don't put the rubber ones back in.
It won't affect originality IMO....
Cheers
Steve"
Steve is definitely swaying me.I guess i am waiting for you to fit yours Kit to see what you think??

. Obviously the car would now benefit from having the alignment done but that will have to wait until after I've changed the rear sub-frame mounts and steering rack.
I am looking forward to your report when you have had a longer test drive like one of those when you go walkabout metaphorically speaking through the beautiful Welsh mountains in your S2 steed.
