    Hi,
I wouldn't know cos I don't deal with FK, I do however deal with Bilstein and KW who cater for the urs6.

You'll have to check FK for yourself, sorry...

      Hi Mike,

Here is a link to the Koni Sport damper which is the only one available for an S2 Coupe: http://www.koni.uk.com/home/index.ph...254&Itemid=286

Part number is '86 2086SPD2' for the front and '86 2433SPORT' for the rear.

They are not top adjustable, so have to be removed each time for adjustment.

      I hope this helps?

      Thanks
      Yaz

If you read the decription of the setup, it says the insert's are made by Koni. That's pretty much all it says about them...no reference to being top adjustable or not...

hmm, no mention of the 'special' inserts Koni allegedly make for FK? Being non-top adjustable is about the only thing that would put me off buying a set of this for the price. This may warrant further investigation...

        cheers Yaz

No probs Mike, personally I would go with Bilstein B6 Sport dampers for the money...

Bottom adjustables aren't an; issue on a predominantly road var.

From my own persective / experience, a shock that is adjustable via a knob you turn is way ahead of a shock that has to be taken off the car and the spring off the strut housing to make an adjustment is a complete pita.

The point is that once they're set, you'd have little need to adjust them on a road car. Sure, for a car used on track, you want the adjustability.

I've always found that coilovers need frequent adjusting until you find the best settings for the car. If it was a 5 minute job to take them off, adjust and refit it wouldn't be so bad but I believe doing this on an S2 is quite an involved job. If I'm fitting new suspension, the last thing I'd want to do is have to remove them the next day for adjustment and then have to get the alignment reset again. A set of billies is sounding like the way forward as once they're fitted I've no choice but to live with the ride. Probably better quality too...(Easy) adjustment would be nice though...

Better ask FK directly if they are top adjustable or not. I can imagine that not the stock S2 replacement Koni shocks are used in the coilover kits.

Right guys, i've done a bit more trawling through t'internet and found these for the front (see picture, couldn't get link to work properly!)

Spax only make front shocks for the S2 BUT it seems they're top adjustable! The only car I've ever had Spax on was a Rover mini 15 years ago and they were pretty hard. Anyone had more recent experience with them (maybe even for an Audi)?
I'm thinking if I can get the front's as adjustable, I'll got with billies for the rear (& give you a shout Yaz )
As always, input & opinions are most welcome

                        cheers,

Hi Mike, I do deal with Spax as well so I'll get a price on that part number.

Can't agree, but that's just me. Adjusted my top adjustable Koni inserts on my Mk1 Golf quite a bit tbh.

You could also try GAZ Shocks to see if they would do an insert that is adjustable while on the car ?
