    Camber Bolts

Anyone used them or have any opinions on them? Not sure I'm convinced but it's them or slot the struts...

I've not used them personally but have heard mixed reviews. Apparently some of the cheaper ones can slip, throwing adjustment out. Personally I would rather slot the strut and use manly bolts torqued up properly to fix it. Its horses for courses though, some might be ok

They are standard fitment on the Porsche 944S2, I've often thought about getting some and seeing if they could be adapted to fit the S2.

Last time that I slotted some struts (on a vauxhall nova GpN car) - we got the angles where we wanted them, then welded the washers onto the strut so it couldn't be adjusted.

Or you can use some sort of WRC style camber adjustment washers. This gives you the ability to change camber easily, on the track by having a set of different washers. Something like this:

The round ones go on the struts. You can see that they have holes with different offsets on them. You have to weld a metal piece there that surrounds the washers so they just slot in it like a piece of a puzzle. That way they never move and the only thing that changes when you replace them is the hole that locates the bolt.

                  Something like this:

Check how much clearance you have between the tyre sidewall and the steering arm... bet its only a few mm at best
FWIW I would slot struts and bollock them up tight with 12.9s

I think the correct technical term you are referring to is "TAF" !

Certainly a well known technical term.

Yes if you tip then inwards then you'll need bigger spacers.

                              what about adjustable top mounts

i have only seen the time attack avant use these so far, other build threads i read use these more often than not.

on our cars i guess this is an irreversible mod but the volume and precision of adjustment surely spanks at a one for all mod.

Due to all the top mount issues i have read about with rusty producing the only lasting fix,non adjustable caster subframe mounts and camber mods, the steering rack in an awkward position.

i could well be wrong but without mistakes you are unable to learn
