Tim, with mine you can't even see the hole or split but when I clean the fluid from the hose it reappears again. They potentially perish from within is my guess and I only noticed the issue recently due to a pool of fluid on the garage floor. I couldn't work out where it was coming from to begin with but it's definitely the cooler hose.

Sounds like a new K24r product in the making? That would be a good one to do if it's feasible mate.

That is almost the same as my fault i just have a misting all over the area around that pipe and along the chassis leg that side. Also have a fault where after being stood for a week the res shows max level then after start up it empties the tank. whether is just refilling the system or another fault I don't know.

Have you done the brake accumulator test? Correct me if i'm wrong but there's two marks on the reservoir and the level of the tank should be at the lower mark when the car is sat and not running and rises to the upper mark when the car is running?

If its just a pin hole, can you not put a small blob of weld or solder on to seal it?

With the issues I've had recently with the PS system on my car I would rather not risk a patch job to be honest. If it's broke, fix it properly.

                Mine cracked snapped

Temporary repair working fine so far to keep the car mobile, I will probably end up with a cooler from something else as Alex suggests.
