Going to be removing the airbag wheel tonight (Battery already disconnected a few minutes ago)
Besides the two rear torx screws at the back of the wheel for the airbag and the inner 24mm nut. Is there anything else I need to remove to get the wheel off?
It's an old car mate, you will find stuff like this occasionally yours is one of the nicer ones too!
Can you tap the next size up bit in there to undo it? Or cut a groove in it with a dremel and use a flat blade?
I have a T40 but no T35 which is next size up. I will get one from the garage at work tomorrow and try that. Alternatively tried an allen key but no luck it just slips. The other torx broke loose very easily. Aren't these supposed to be very tight??
Did you round it of or is that how you bought it? One needs a T30 torx bit to undo it. Do you have one?
It was very worn and I wore it out even further with the correct T30 torx bit which just kept slipping . The other side was perfect and came out easily.
If I won't manage to sort it myself will get to the garage at work and we can find a way to get it out there maybe next week when the weather is back to normal we've been having shockingly bad weather the past two months
