    rs2 powersteering pressure switch

hi all just in the middle of rebuiling my rs2battery was a bit flat so startered her up today to let the fans kick in at temp, went to make a coffee to come back to a pool of power steering fluid, turned her off popped the bonnet and it had sprayed all down the back of the engine, took a while to find out where it was coming from ,it was from the pressure switch under the brake master cylinder, took it off to find the washer had corroded through as it was alloy ,so replaced with a copper one, just a heads up really

PN 443919081. Bottom of the brake servo (not the master cylinder). Item 3 here (washer is item 2):

You can just see it here (the 2 pin switch on the right):

yes thats the one,we call them master cylinder for some reason, you cant see it very well, until you remove the heat shield, mine just gave up as it had just rotted away, glad it was in the garage when it let go or the pump would have run dry,for the sake of 20 mins i would change the washer

You can call it anything you want but it is not the master cylinder, that is the next piece in the puzzle. It is the brake servo or brake booster, as shown here:

It is clearly on the bottom of the brake booster/servo, not the master cylinder

Sorry (being precise is important to an engineer such as myself (even in retirement))

4A0611021C Master Cylinder (no pressure switch since there is very little pressure involved)

You boys are too sensitive. All I was doing was correcting an error and adding more info to help the same people that you were trying to help.

If you wanted to help more, you might have specified the size of the new non-alloy washer that you used. The OE washer, PN N 0138085, is listed as A10 x 16.

Apologies if I hurt your feelings.

What is the thread size on this pressure switch (PN: 443919081)? M10x1?

I need to know the thread size on the pressure switch (i want to attach a pressure gauge to the servo system).

Edit: The thread size on the pressure switch is M10x1.
