Bilstines are a superb shock and perform extremely well with Audi Springs. My mates S6 has just had fronts fitted, rears were already changed for billies and the ride is excellent on the standard springs.96 URS6 plus speck saloon

just for reference and to help you look, here's some part numbers you might find useful that I got from Yaz; oh, they're for 55mm struts too:
(FWIW Spax were being d!cks and not answering any questions so I went with the billies instead)
Spax PSX Adjustable damper inserts front part: TAG1024-I
Bilstein B6 Sport Dampers front part # 34-030868
Rear part # 34-030172
Yaz said "you can use standard springs or lowered up to 40mm max on these dampers" about the billies

I had no complaints about my Koni springs and adjustable damper combo, apart from the ride height not being the same between the front and rear of the car. IIRC they provided about 20mm drop. Koni stopped making them many years ago though. I have them tucked up with a set of struts for a future project91 Modded 3B
