I've just cured my Brake Warning Beep by disconnecting the plug to the hydraulic fluid reservoir cap. There's definitely enough oil in there but if you tap the res the float will drop and sometimes stay down. Seems to have lost its floatyness [emoji849]
Are these caps available as a spare part?

Is the top just gunked up in old stocky goo2000? I used to cause my old one to stay down. Cleaned it with some carb cleaner and all good again. Id expect it to be a spare part but could be nla by now lol
Well I took the cap off to clean it and noticed the float moves completely freely when outside the reservoir, i then noticed that the rod was warped so when the cap is on the float is pushed against the side of the internal tube that it sits in. A bit of gentle persuasion and it now seems ok and no beeping [emoji4]
So it seems that rather than a lack of floatyness (my iPhone is now offering this word as predicted text) or even an excess of sinkyness, it's actually some bendyness that's been the issue all along. [emoji51]
