    New wishbone bushes?

The time has come, I have to do the wishbone bushes on my car, particularly the rears as the movement is becoming ridiculous.

So my question is, is it Powerflex or Superflex and what if any is the difference? I'm after the best handling with the least increase in road noise/harshness over standard. I had solid nylon bushes in my ur for a while and they were awful.. If its going to be all harsh and clonky I'd rather fit stock ones.

I know I've had this info once aleady but I seem to have spaced it

Also what is the best/easiest place to buy?

Not really, the only alternative available when I did the ur (this was a few years back) were machined nylon bushes, I think it was nylon the material was pretty hard. The bush would wear out the steel tube through the middle quite quickly and I'd have to make new ones. The new breed of Polyurethane bushes are much softer than this so I'm after opinions on which of the 2 main makes gives the better ride quality.
For the amount of power I'm putting down (mid 300s) thares really too much forward back float on the stockers, the poly bushes are tophat shaped and hold the wishbone fore and aft..

I presume you have done the subframe bushes too?? If you haven't the dialynx ali ones are great had them on my old 90 20vq made a massive difference to how the car felt and that was using the stnd rubber wishbone bushes.

Superflex bushes are much better quality. They dont make the bushes for the cast arms tho. But Powerflex do. They ARE very harsh compared to std bushes, but they dont move about, which is spot on. I do have the ally subframe bushes too, but i did the wishbone bushes after fitting them.

Dialynx charge way too much for those bushes IMO. But we all know that anyway.

Be warned John with poly bushes, IT WILL make the the ride harsher. I dont mind it as the car feels great to drive with loads of feel in the steering now. Also what worries me is the shockingly poor quality of the snub mount bush made by powerflex. It got me wondering about the bushes holding my front suspension in!!!!

I have the pressed steel arms on the back so maybe I will try the Superflex on there first, I have about 1" of fore and aft movement on the nearside 'bone

The havent produced them yet John. They are about 20 miles from me. When i asked them about making them they said they need a wishbone and about 6 months to make the prototypes

SuperFlex (SuperPro is the parent company) are actually in Australia, that's why it takes 6 months.
