Hello,
I when to have my wheel alignment done today and it all started off well, The place i used had one of those fancy radio wave guided alignment machine that picks up on just about everything that could possibly be out...
After about 40 Min's of 3 to 4 of them adjusting the wishbones and cambers
(It was dam scary letting all those mechanics near the S2 - as they are only used to chaving up kev cars.
)
they decided that the bolt that joins the Ball joint was not the correct one. In all fairness this did not look like an OEM part to me and my only guess is that when i had another garage do the wheel bearings not long ago they replaced the bolt with a standard non hightension one.
At this point they stopped and said that there was no point in carrying on until i had the correct bolts fitted, as these ones would not last very long etc. so it would just be £60 for 4 wheel alignment down the drain..
Does any one know what bolts should be used to connect the ball joints at there lowest point? (Ill try to get a pic in the morning of what is currently on there.)
Thanks in advance..
Bo
