I have problems with the linkage of the gearbox
I'm trying to adapt one that I have here from a6 tdi but it does not look good
The linkage of Audi S4 is mounted directly or there to make any changes?
- CBD gearbox 01E from S4 5 speed
- Gear mounts from a guy here in forum that sell this parts works fine to use original subframe ( B3 ) ( i can check my PM to see name of user )
- Linkage from S4 B5
- propshaft cut in 26mm
- convertion 4x108 to 5x112 but you not need because originally S2 is 5x112.
Hope help you!
Do you have the details of what/where you shortened the propshaft please?

Just for information purposes, at least in the states, the 2002/03 B6 A4 3.0L V6 came with a 01E transmission. Code is FYF or GBE. You can also use the shift box out of it. These transmissions will be a little less beat on since they did not come behind a 2.7TT engine. They have the same gears ratios as the B5 S4.
I have one in my car, and another on the shelf. If you have an ABY S2, the linkage from said S2 will bolt up to this trans. One added bonus, is that this trans comes with a OEM crank sensor, if you have a flywheel with a 60-2.

They can have my car when they pry my cold dead fingers from the steering wheel.
Are the s2 108mm driveshaft flanges the same
part number front and rear or are they different?
No, they are not the same. The rear diff flange are specific to the ABY S2. The left side has a is set up for a Lock diff switch. The right side has a different part number than the trans flanges.
