Clutch Pedal staying stuck down and slow to return

Hey guys, does anyone have any ideas what this is? After using the clutch pedal, it can sometimes get stuck in the down position and then hard to select gear. Usually when stationary. It can also return slowly, and if its down I have to use my feet to pull it back up.

Does anyone have any ideas what this might be and is it an easy fix?

(I've had so far, -- clutch master cylinder or --- release plate/ mechanism)

(I also sometimes get a red exclamation mark red warning light flash a few times on the digital warning display) - i know this is to do with the brake system, but brakes are good.

Any help or advice would be very much appreciated

Normally the clutch slave on its way out. You can try flushing it out with fresh brake fluid first as it seldom gets changed.

If it's the slave you'll be losing fluid down below.
My bet is on the clutch master, if the primary seal is worn fluid gets pushed back round it when you're holding the pedal down. Check for a weep up above the pedal.

Hmmm tge clutch works ok when I use it quickly. But tgere is excess fluid leakage under car.. but not sure yet if linked. But ive had a red exclaimation mark warning for some time. Would tgis cone on if lacking pressure or the cylinder is going? I may change them both in situ to 100% guarantee. But dont see leakage from the master. Will double check though.

        Thankyou gents!

Clutch shares fluid with the brakes.
Check your brake fluid reservoir level, if it's low it's probably the slave leaking into the bell housing and dripping underneath.

Be careful which slave cylinder you buy some don't fit
