Transmission Failure. How did yours go?

I would disagree. Loosing of gearbox teeth IMHO is consequence of wear, not top speed runs (of course it's not helping old box).

Mine was old and heavily abused (gear braking in slalom, track, and even engaging 2nd at 140kph (clutch burned in miliseconds)), so I don't blame the box, I blame the owner, your's sincerely...

Weird because 5th gear has the least torque through it....

I bust one,
My original UR box broke, shot a large shaft out of the rear end of the box. through the tunnel! carpet stopped it! thats what its for!

I'll leave the carpet in my car then.

Loving the destruction pictures. Keep them coming. And I thought 016s were bomb proof.

I could've repaired/replaced it before it broke, but it was more interesting destroying it.

Half a track day and third has gone in my 01A. Still managed to get me home with 2nd and 4th. It's making some really nasty noises but is still drivable.

I have an 01E in the garage, so perhaps the 0A3 when that pops!
