Now in the process of putting it all back together after a winter "overhaul".
does anyone have the torque settings for the x6 propshaft/diff bolts....?

Have removed front a rear subframes, blasted & re painted with ally subframe bushes. same with wishbones and rear tie rods, FARB & RARB etc etc and replaced ALL bushes/balljoints/Gearbox & Diff mounts as most were getting tired. Should be a VERY different car to drive hopefully.

      Cheers

      James

It was a problem with rounded nuts. I tryed bolt exctractors but they didn't work on the round allen key heads. Then tryed beating them off with a coal chizzle, that didn't work either so they have been cut off.
I've had some success with beating torx sockets into rounded allen key heads.
When that doesnt work, I've used XZN's

I found it easier to do it away from the car

all mine came off fine so we could strip all the running gear down.

Out of interest anyone know what the correct term is for the grease that goes inside the flanges on the diff that the prop and d/shafts bolt to?
