    Broke my g/box

My old 50/50 lockable centre diff finally gave up the ghost tonight....

Had the center diff locked pulled off a roundabout, 2 bar of boosts and pop! been waiting for it to happen if I'm honest.

I have an 016 torsion box waiting to go in. I think its the diff lock ring/gear that has broken as it still has drive in all gears but not drivable as something catches and clonks...

I will let you know when i remove it....

      Thanks mate..

This is a pre torsion box with the lockable centre and i have to drive it with it locked or it just spins the wheels like a front wheel drive car. Its not really a good idea to drive with it locked let alone put the grunt mines got through it.

So it was just a matter of time....

All in the fun of these cars...

Must admit it was going like a train before it.. took it on a dual carriageway that had no street lights, slowed right down and gave it the beans from 2nd through to 5th, the flames lit the road up behind me on every gear change....

      Im such a kid.......

Will be interesting to see how it effects handling when on or off the throttle aswell as launch

Does the rear lock have to be on at same time as the centre? Just wondering how sideways a roundabout would be taken :mischeif:

Having seen your car Darren, some newer technology rubber would help a lot with the wheelspin!

Hope you get it all sorted, all part of running a properly fast car for sure.

I agree, i have a set of Toyo R888's for the summer. In truth the wheel spin would have helped on this occasion...

Not taken the old one apart but its pretty obvious, now its on the floor, that its stripped the input shaft.... torque......
