    Rs2 Clutch Reccomendations for 428bhp?

I have recently replaced my Clutch Master Cylinder & Slave Cylinder as they were both leaking and the slave had a worn/broken end apparently?

I am going to change the clucth as its getting a bit tired after I had the 3" Full AAS Stainless Systm & Downpipes made and fitted. The car is fast as f**k now, but currently residing at the top end of 300bhp, say 380, 390 bhp?

    ANYWAY!

Please can some people have reccomended a Good Strong Clutch that feels nice, not mad stiff, and can be used as a daily driver/touring Germany, but also handle 450bhp.

    Many Thanks

That is the next stage when I eventually find a MTM EM or Audi SQ EM for the KKK MTM Turbo thats on my car atm.

i would accume that mtm would be using the 4puck sinter for that setup which is not nice and soft.
im using a southbend one from marc (efiexpress) and so far im happy with it.

Stock RS2 clutch will work fine. Mine is not slipping at 600nm and 430hp measured at the wheels.

I've been wondering the same question - I'm on the original clutch at 160k and it's heavy as hell. Still holding at 375hp and 390ft/lb. Looking to change it in the spring, I'm looking to get a southbend clutch. Just need to decide which one to go for.

Vas - which southbend are you using and how do you find it? Needs to be capable of town driving...

Incidentally what's the reason in fitting the SQ EM? I know it's an improvement on the RS2 EM but I ran my coupe at 428hp using the RS2 EM no problem. It was the injectors that were maxxed out, could have gotten a little more.

the SQ EM is better regarding EGTs. I have much better EGTs now on cruise with the SQ than i did with the RS2.

Having said that the RS2 can do 450ish anyway. But there are so many solutions regarding this.

im using a southbend st4 which is organic on one side and metal/sinter on the other. That way it has the properties of being soft yet take the abuse.

Marc can fix you up with the proper one if you speak to him directly. i got one for the 7A flywheel, but you will need the dual mass equivalent.

                  See HERE

The strange thing is the pedal feels lighter than the standard clutch, but the clutch has WAY more bite.

                  Hope this helps

I'm also using the Spec Stage 3+ on my coupe.

Edit: Thats on a single mass flywheel though..

I have had the Sachs Racing clutch and the Spec side by side and the quality between the two is a good country mile. Spend the extra.

I bought a clutchnet "red" pressure plate with six pad sinter sprung disk.
The pedal is very light, maybe lighter than original rs2 and bites strong. Is not very long on the car so I have small experience.

I would highly recommend a Southbend Stage 4 for your level of tune. The feel is just slightly above a new stock clutch. I run this one in my B5 A4 and numerous guys here run it in their 400hp+ urS4/6s. I run a custom SB in Da Monstah that holds my 755hp at the wheels.
