Any way to tell if you have the flexible mainshaft? Other than bolting it onto 1000AWHP though it would be great fun!

I bought an rs2 cbr to replace my cgr that had a shot syncro. Had them side by side and they appeared identical. Maybe I had the flexi mainshaft on both? Or neither?

You get a bulge in the casing with the wider first gear so fairly obvious.

Is there something that can identify it in the number?

TOM@ that correct....you may use the tranny, from any car/enginecombo...they will fit the engine; but remember the ratio code, and some minor issue, like the speedsensor,/wire. clutchtype and flywheel, and propchafts, and linkage....

ratiocode att trannys; by the 2 upper boltholes in bellhousing; then you need ETKA to decode it....fx; AHA 12345, or CBL 23456..its stamped in
ratio code for diff; by the oildrainplugghole.... against the road.. stamped in fx;AEC or AEU.....
the ratio code are also, for the prod year and type of car....

I'm using 95' year CGR on a 1300kg Coupe with 3 disc sinter-metal Tilton and all wheel 360kw. It holds for now... Soon will find what will be with lunch...
