I can see why they made it for the lower revving v6's, but for a 20v with enough power to reach 200 mph you are going to be using more revs than standard unless you have gone to a very long stroke crank.

200mph is being done in the RS4's at 750+hp at V-MAX events using those gears. Their custom sets made to achieve a nice motorway cruising speed without too big an rpm drop going from 5th to 6th.

I'm currently running a diesel box at 450hp and 6th gear is useless as I have to use so much throttle to maintain motorway speed it is more fuel economic to stay in 5th at higher rpm. When comparing 6th gear ratio to the MRC one it is a lot taller. MRC 6th at 7200rpm on a set of 275/30 19's was 208mph iirc the diesel box worked out at around 240mph.

Also, the AudiSRS page says, that MRC 6th gear is with ratio 0.64, wich would be 200mph at 7100rpm.

          FWD 01E diesel box with 0.60 ratio gives 200mph at 6700rpm. 2.5TDIq box gives 200mph at 7500rpm in 5th and 200mph at 6240rpm in 6th.
in 1998 you does have the 01e 6tr tranny with the 3,889; they does even have the 3,700 too; its the same parts an really the same car as audi rs6, the a6, but with the smaller engine; even the front and rear arb are the same; some differents in the brake , yea
