I would guess a stage 5+ would be sintered metal. It's metal against metal at the end of the day, I'd expect some sort of noise on engagement. It will probably change as it wears in and eats into the facing on the flywheel and pressure plate. Spec do recommend a running in process without high rev launches IIRC.91 Modded 3B

Not sure i'f it's sintered, however i also believe that it's from metal to metal, and I'm breaking it i'n slowly, no launching yet , possibly it might go away, just wanted your guys opinionI would guess a stage 5+ would be sintered metal. My Spec stage 3 paddle clutch did this, I changed to a 3+ which is a disc clutch and all has been well since.Comment

Is the 5+ a paddle clutch with 6 separate pucks? Or a disc?
The paddle clutches tend to be a bit noisy and sudden in action, the 3+ seems to be ok for my 450ish power but I don't do hard launches and its really smooth, just makes a lovely hissing noise.

it is a 6 puck clutch i just checked, and this is the same as the spec stage 5 clutch the only difference the 5+ does is that it has a difference pressure plate (with more clamping pressure), and it was purchased from 034 (and they offer the option to use the aluminum flywheel with it, so its possible that it could be eating away, however thats stupid on there part imo to sell something like this that, isnt made to work with one another......and like i said before its only under lesiure driving, when driving more aggressive it doesnt make any noise (hence a race/drag clutch im guessing)Comment
