Aaaahaaa.. I did just discover that the DSY has oil pump stock!! Didnt know .. so there i can just plug in the cooler to the plumbed holes?
DSY/EDU sound very expensive?
I runn 5cyl monster stroker.. I sitting here and wondering about what gearbox that could suit my application best? hmmm
not sure how expensive it is but some consider these boxes for the strongest for our cars. Here we have car over 1000hp on crank and it is with such box.... This is your only option I would say...
I`m on my 4th season with a stock 01e from a 96 RS2. The oil gets hot off course but no issues besides that. It kinda depends if your going to use it for race or not. If only for trackdays, you run typically 5-6rounds with 1lap for cooling. In racing you will drive for a longer periode and the demands for cooling increases.
The standard 6 speed linkage works with it, if I remember right all you need is one spacer washer on one of the gearbox mounts, everything else is just straight swap.
I will be finding out soon as I have one in my garage waiting to go on my car.
Yeah use a DSY/EDU box that already has the internal oil pump. Then you can just plumb in a cooler - simples.
dude i have audi s4 b5 2001 us one , and it have EDU gearbox but doesnt seems to have oil cooler? or am i mistaking? if no can i bolt in oil pump for it?
